After spending weeks on vocabulary, putting them into sentences and attempting to make heads or tails of where the students are in their learning journey, here is a quick and easy final assessment that all ages will love.
During the course of the unit, your students will have amassed a wealth of vocabulary, verbs and prepositions in relation to Winter and winter activities. They have spent some time putting these words in to a sentence, matching sentences to pictures, telling stories and listening comprehension.

To put it all together, we will be going on a small vacation to Quebec City for Carnival – or just site seeing. But before we can go on vacation, we need a vacation plan. Students will take their poster board and divide them into 4 catgories; Clothes, Activities, Food, and Animals. While they might not see a Polar Bear in downtown Quebec, winter decorations throughout the city will have many winter animals that we need to identify.
Students that require the use of their anchor chart for vocabulary spelling or translations can be easily marked as “with support” in the higher grades.
